Business Strategy Formula Corp. is a “custom” formulator and contract packager. We custom formulate to meet your specific product requirements, i.e. environmentally friendly products. We don’t just sell you our “standard” formula. We are committed to working with our customers to design products that meet or exceed the end users expectations.
Facility Information In April 2004 Formula Corp. moved into a new custom designed manufacturing facility. Our new facility is 62,500 square feet and is fully compliant with the latest Building Codes, Fire Codes, EPA and FDA requirements. Our new facility has a fully contained tank farm and tanker loading and unloading station. The building is designed to protect the environment.
Capabilities Formula Corp. has liquid mixing and packaging equipment. We also have powder mixing and packaging equipment. Our new facility enables us to mix and package flammable liquids. We have an FDA/GMP mixing and packaging room. We have combustible and flammable warehousing space. Our fully equipped Research and Development lab is state of the art for our industry. Our trained chemists are fully capable of analyzing competitive products as well as developing new and improved products.
Capacity Formula Corp., with the move to our new facility, has abundant capacity. We have utilized technology and engineering to improve our capacity and efficiencies. We are currently operating one shift on a 4 day at 10 hours a day basis. We have the supervisory staff to add a second shift.
Quality Standards Formula Corp. tests incoming bulk raw materials to confirm they meet the specifications we have established. Formula Corp. uses a software system called Batch Master for maintaining our formulations and generating our “batch tickets”. Batchmaster automatically tracks and dates any and all formulation changes. The batch tickets are automatically generated and contain all the ingredients by part number, description, and bin location as well as the amount required and the mixing instructions. Our batch system is done by weight and a record is printed on the batch ticket when the batch is completed. Our QC lab tests the finished product prior to packaging. QC retains are stored for 13 months and the batch tickets are saved for 7 years. The packaging specifications are also generated by the Batch Master software to insure we are packaging the product as specified.
Shipping & Distribution Formula Corp.’s new facility has greatly expanded our warehousing and distribution capacity. Our computer system is capable of maintaining multiple warehouse locations. Customer item numbers can be assigned to products so that they appear on our order confirmations, packing lists and invoices. In the event of a drop ship to an end-user, we can set our bills-of-lading to show the distributor as the shipper.
Innovation Formula Corp. has developed a number of innovative cleaning products over the years. Recently our R&D department introduced a citrus based cleaner with an oxygen releasing agent which safely removes grease and stains from fabrics. We have also developed a body wash with skin enhancing vitamin E beads suspended in the product. Formula Corp. developed a non-acid spray shower cleaner using the same technology as “Clean Shower” several years before “Clean Shower” was introduced to the mass market. Formula Corp. has developed a spray on odor “encapsulator” which deodorizes and eliminates the source of the odor by “encapsulating” it. Volatile Organic Compounds are a health concern so we have developed a “VOC” free glass cleaner as well as a counter top cleaner.
Product Offering Personal care products: shampoos, conditioners, body wash, lotions, body oils, bubble baths, etc. Household cleaners: glass cleaners, hard surface cleaners, carpet care products, floor care products, furniture polishes, etc. Kitchen products: pot and pan detergents, machine dishwashing detergents, rinse aids, sanitizers, etc. Bathroom cleaners: tub and tile cleaners, shower cleaners, toilet cleaners, room deodorants, etc. Laundry products: laundry detergents, fabric softeners, powdered laundry bleach, scented linen sprays.
Minimum Runs 200 gallons is the minimum production batch size. 55 gallon drums = 4 drums; 5 gallon pails = 40 pails; 4 x 1 Gallon cases = 50 cases; 12 x Quart case = 66 cases; 12 x Pint = 133 cases or as stated in a specific price quotation with terms.
